To celebrate the 21st anniversary of the Hay Festival of Literature (currently running and on until June 1st, the organisers have "drawn up a list of 21 promising writers, appearing at the festival this week, who are tipped for greatness" (more at The Guardian). The names tipped for the top are: Yan Lianke; Zhu Wen; Nikita Lalwani; Simon Lewis; Joe Dunthorne; Ross Raisin; Juan Gabriel Vasquez; Alan Pauls; Tom Rob Smith; Emily Perkins; Jhumpa Lahiri; Edward Docx; Owen Sheers; Nick Harkaway; Jenny Valentine; Sasa Stanicic; Michelle de Kretser; Catherine O'Flynn; Mohammed Hanif; Daniel Kehlmann; and Steve Toltz. I've interviewed Edward Docx and Catherin O'Flynn here at The Book Depository already. And I've got my eye on interviews with plenty of others on the list too -- so watch this space! 9780099481270.jpg
