Our customer reviews

'Zoolin Vale and the Chalice of Ringtar' is the follow up to Craig Smith's 'The Red Stone' (another book that I dearly loved). The author brings back the best of his first book, and builds upon it to create an epic fantasy. Actually, you are getting two stories in one in this well done tale. First, we follow the adventures of the newly selected Lord Protector, Tennen, who is the Red Stone Bearer from the first book, as he leads an expedition to capture the culprits who stole the Chalice of Ringtar and return it to the kingdom. At the same time we follow the adventures of Tennen's friends, Devlin, Tyvn and Myke, as they search for Devlin's parents, who have been kidnapped long ago, and to save two of their number from poisoning. Both quests are enjoyable on their own, but together, they make up a very interesting and exciting book that is just as good as the first book in this series. In addition to the action and adventure, Craig Smith takes you on a journey filled with magic and mahem. Smith is indeed a master at coming up with some of the most interesting characters and beings that you will find in fantasy. From goloms, to miniature blue and purple warriors, and beyond, this book is filled with a wealth of interesting beings, encounters, and it keeps you guessing throughout. Once I started reading it, I found it very difficult to put down. This is one fine book that can't be missed.show more
