About Joan Van Emden
Joan van Emden was Director of the Jove Centre, a consultancy specializing in technical writing and presentations. She was also a visiting lecturer at the University of Reading, UK and has written a number of books on communication issues. Joan maintains her interest by writing and editing regularly.
