There's no such thing as a level playing field when it comes to love. Take Jasmine. Just about to marry her footballer fiancee, her dream wedding should be the chance she's been waiting for to bury the secrets in her past. Lila gave up everything for her marriage. In return she got a megastar husband, two beautiful children...and a broken heart. All Maxine wants is a ring on her finger. Three-times divorced, she's still in love with the idea of being a wife. But is she chasing the wrong dream? And Grace? What she can't tell you about being the mistress isn't worth knowing...Four women, all with a story to tell. And over one explosive summer, where glamour girls rub shoulders with Russian money-men and crime godfathers meet Hollywood royalty, the truth will out. Bold, brazen and with a heart of gold, Wives v. Girlfriends is a story of husbands and lovers, friends and enemies. It's about working out what it takes to be happy, and how far you'll go to get it.

Review quote

'big-gun beach-reads ... they don't come much bigger or better than this. ... Throw plenty of scandal and sex into the mix too, and you've found the perfect beach fodder. Just don't forget your SPF, because you won't be shifting from that sunlounger all day. 5 *' HEAT 'Expect to see this tale of sex and scandal entertaining women on beaches and beside pools all summer long' DAILY RECORD 'Scotland's answer to Jackie Collins' SCOTTISH WOMEN 'A delectable tale of husbands, lovers and how far a woman will go to find happiness.' THE EXPRESS 'a grown-up novel that excites from the off: Agnew has a keen eye on the dark side of the high life as well as its shallowness, and her writing is as lively as her plotting' METRO 'For escapism with lashings of glitz and glamour, Wives V Girlfriends positively sparkles.'
