Willy van Hemert (born March 29, 1912, in Utrecht; died June 26, 1993, in Hechtel) was a Dutch theatre and television director, song writer, actor and comedian. van Hemert was born in 1912 as Catharinus William Hemenway he attended Boniface School in Utrecht. He studied Drama and briefly law. In 1957 van Hemert wrote the lyrics for the winning song at the 1957 Eurovision Song Contest called Net als toen performed by Corry Brokken, then two years later when the Contest was held in Cannes van Hemert won again with the lyrics with the song Een beetje performed by Teddy Scholten.show more
