About C W Eagle

Charlie White-Eagle was born in Los Angeles, California in 1917 and, like the central character in his book, worked for years as a migrant child on farms throughout the state. After joining the U.S. Army in 1940, Eagle served in WWII in the Pacific Theatre and was then called to serve again in the Korean War. Under the G.I. Bill, the author studied at the University of California at Berkeley until he dropped out of school after being offered a job with the Bridge Department of California. He retired as an associate engineer after some thirty years of service. The father of three adult sons, Mr. Eagle and his wife Emma reside in San Diego.show more
