About Michael Hertz
Michael Hertz was raised in the foothills of eastern Pennsylvania, where children could look forward to a winter wonderland come Christmastime. And on that special day, each child was treated to a fresh turkey dinner and toy of their choice at a special Christmas party, all thanks to James B. Neale, the coal tycoon/philanthropist who ran the community of Buck Run in Schuykill County. When the author now visit his old hometown, he find that most things changed except the memories, which help inspire him in his writing.
