When I Was Young : An Anthology of Poems and Songs
This collection of poems and songs tells a story. It records the transition from teenager to young adult over a period of approximately twelve years. It has the twists and turns that you might expect from any teenage angst saga. There are broken hearts, hopelessness and redemption too. My sincere hope is that amongst these words you find a glimmer to light your way and something to guide you home...

About Steve Boreham
Steve Boreham grew up in the 1960s, 70s and 80s in a village on the edge of Epping Forest, an ancient woodland located just northeast of London, England. From an early age he was fascinated by nature and wildlife, and by the soils and rocks beneath his feet. He has a deep spiritual connection to the Earth, to water and to the stars. Steve went on to have a career as a geologist and ecologist. Whilst at school he taught himself to play guitar and built a number of stringed instruments in his Father's workshop. He was encouraged to write poetry by his teachers and began to write songs in his early teens. In the 1980s he performed his music in folk clubs across southern England. Still passionate about wildlife and outdoor activities, he now lives in a small fen-edge village near Cambridge, England.
