What Every Law Enforcement Officer Should Know About DNA Evidence
Created by the National Institute of Justice to train police officers on proper crime scene procedures, this interactive, entertaining resource puts students in the roles of first-arriving police officers at various types of crime scenes. Utilizing video clips and fully searchable crime scene environments, the CDROM asks students to make choices about how they would identify, handle, and preserve DNA evidence at each crime scene. If they follow proper procedure the case ends in a conviction. If they slip up, then the perpetrator will walk.
