She has three weeks to find their murderer and pass the mark to them - letting justice take place and sending them into the Darkness. And if she doesn't make it in time? The Darkness will come for her - She spends her life trying to avoid ghosts, make it through school where she's bullied by popular Justin and his cronies, keep her one remaining friend, and persuade her father that this is real and that she's not going crazy. But then Justin is murdered and everything gets a whole lot worse. Justin doesn't know who killed him, so there's no obvious person for Taylor to go after. The clues she has lead her to the V Club, a vicious secret society at her school where no one is allowed to leave - and where Justin was dared to do the stunt which led to his death. Review quote

"Angel's Fury is a breath of fresh air, an original and intriguing take on angels and nephilim. Compelling, haunting and heart-pounding, Angel's Fury will satisfy readers with its smooth plot, strong heroine, psychological touch and its tale of cycles, hope, and redemption." - Fragments of Life "Angel's Fury is confusing, creepy and utterly compelling! It may well be the best YA paranormal fantasy book I read this year!" - Teen Librarian "Angel's Fury is a greatly entertaining novel written in an easy but solid style. And I definitely want to read on!" - Thirst for Fictionshow more

Our customer reviews

Taylor Oh is living with a curse. She is hounded by ghosts of murder victims seeking vengeance. If they are successful in touching her, she gets the Mark. Her mission is to transfer the Mark to the the victim's murderer so that the Darkness can take him. If she's not able to transfer the Mark, the Darkness will come for her. In addition, she is tormented and bullied by the popular crowd in her high school led by Justin and his girlfriend Tamsin. Things change when Justin got murdered and Marked her accidentally. To save herself, Taylor has no choice but to help her bully. Now she has to get in with the popular crowd and their mysterious V Club to find out what happened and avenge her tormentor's murder. I like the book's premise. I've read books where the main character sees and helps ghosts but not because her life actually depended on it. I also enjoyed reading about the curse's origins, and I like how it was done in a way that is part of the story and not just normal flashbacks. I have mixed emotions with the main characters in this book. Taylor's life sucks and I feel for her. Her dad thinks she has a mental problem. She's in constant guard against ghosts Marking her and because of that she is seen as the school weirdo. She has one friend that she constantly bails out on and is in danger of losing...and you wouldn't want to be friendless when you go to her high school. Man, these teenagers are crazy mean. I also like how Taylor wouldn't back down from her bullies but I don't understand why she couldn't just tell her friend Hannah about her curse. If the girl can believe the existence of vampires then I'm sure she'll hear out her friend's predicament with ghosts. Plus, she could've bailed out on Taylor when she started showing weird behavior (like her other friend Pete) but she chose to stick with her best friend. Justin's claims of having liked Taylor from the very beginning while standing by and doing nothing while his posse bullied and tormented her for years, added to the fact that the first half of the book was spent preoccupied with his bitch of a girlfriend, just wasn't believable enough for me. The mystery surrounding Justin's death was a bit too predictable but there was enough suspense regarding the Darkness to make up for it. There's not much backstory on the V Club other than it has powerful connections beyond high school but from how the story ended I'm pretty sure that there will be a second book that will dwell on the club more. This book does not end with a cliffhanger but rather an opening that there is more to come. I'm really happy about that because I'm getting tired of cliffhanger endings. It feels like I've been duped and I'm being forced to read the second book just to get a conclusion. Although there are still some unanswered questions the author did it in a way that doesn't force me on to the second book but rather I myself want to uncover more about the V club and the Darkness.
