Which christians have written volume upon volume in their vain endeavor to prove. Let us see. All the gospels state that Jesus was buried late Friday evening. Matthew (27: 57.) says, "when the even was come." Mark (15:42.) says, " and now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the Sabbath." Luke (23: 54.) says, " and that day was the preparation and the Sabbath drew on." Here we learn the " even was come," " and the Sabbath drew on," before Joseph went to Pilate to beg the body of Jesus.
