"Visual Liturgy" is a computer software package designed to enable users to plan and prepare liturgy and worship services. It has set the standard for computer-based liturgical planning. "Visual Liturgy" has been given a substantial overhaul. The design of the software has been revisited and some functions significantly improved in order to make it easier to use. Its new features include: "New Patterns for Worship" and the RSCM's "Sunday by Sunday" hymn indexes; a new design, which makes the software more user friendly; a "Service Planner" - a new tool that enables users to work with multiple services over a period of time, enabling forward planning and simple administration of church tasks; the calendar contains more information in an easier-to-use format. Users can also make diary notes to plan ahead; a lectionary planner replaces the old lectionary report, enabling users to plan ahead and prepare readings well in advance; users no longer have to think about the criteria (hymn, liturgy, reading) they're searching for; and new views present the recognizable service list/main display combination but allows users to have different views of the same material.
