A poem designed for performance.First performed in the Italian Renaissance Gallery of the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford in April 2014, Diana Moore’s ‘A Visitor to the Forest’ gets to the heart of Paolo Uccello’s famous painting of ‘The Hunt in the Forest’.Written to be performed, it is rhythmical and playful, yet also a unique way to studythe making of ‘The Hunt in the Forest’.Suitable reading for: teachers, schools (primary and secondary), families, individuals, drama groups.It covers several subjects on the school curriculum: English, Poetry, Drama, Art, Music, History and Mathematics.Discussions could include: poetry forms, rhythm, humour, devising and staging, creating a musical performance, artists, art and history, mathematics applied to art, design and illustration.This is a short performance piece under ten minutes.
