Suffolk); born 12 January 1802. He marr. 1stly at the parish church, Marylebone, London, on Thursday, 12 February 1829, Julia, eldest dau. of Edward Haward, F.R.S. (and niece of Bernard Edward, 12th Duke of Norfolk); she died at Costessey Hall, co. Norfolk, aged 49, 19 November, and was bur. at Costessey 27 November 1856, Lord Stafford died at his seat, Costessey Hall, aged 82, on Sunday, 30 November, and was bur. at Costessey 5 December 1884. Emily Eliza, Lady Stafford, marr. 2ndly at Brompton Oratory, London, 24 August 1887, as his 2nd wife, Basil Thomas Fitzherbert of Norbury Manor, co. Derby, and of Swynnerton Park, co. Stafford (elder son of Francis Fitzherbert, by Maria his wife, dau. of John Vincent Gandolfi, Marquis Gandolfi, and Count Caselli, of East Sheen, co. Surrey); born at East Sheen 29 March 1836, and bapt. there; J.P. and D.L. for co. Stafford, Lord of the Manors of Norbury and Swynnerton. Basil Thomas Fitzherbert marr. 1stly at Costessey Hall, the seat of Sir Henry Valentine, 9th Baron Stafford, uncle of the bride, on Wednesday, 13 October 1858, Emily Charlotte, elder dau. of Edward Stafford-Jerningham, by Marianne his wife, dau. of John Smythe; she died at Swynnerton Park, leaving issue, on Wednesday, 9 November, and was bur. at Swynnerton 15 November 1881.
