Vikings in Scotland
Incorporating results from recent excavations, this work presents a re-appraisal of the knowledge of the process, nature and extent of Scandanavian settlement in Scotland. Beginning with the archaeology of the Picts and Scots and ending with the transition to the Middle Ages, the broad chronological range of the book - from the 8th to the 13th centuries - places an impact of the Norse in its wider context.
