July 13, 1818, and in early life removed with his father's family to Morristown, Vt. Mi, . Ferrin was admitted to the bar and practiced law in Lamoille county till 1859, when he removed to Montpelier. He was State's attorney of Lamoille county in 1849-50, and was register of probate in that district from 1850 to 1854; was a member of the Constitutional' Convention in 1857. He represented Johnson in the Legislature of 1854, and was again a member of the House of Representatives from Montpelier in 1864 and'67.
