Description

This is both a historical novel based on actual events surrounding Operation Windhorn III in WWII and a cautionary tale about a devastating attack on the U.S. in 2017. Both stories are brought to life through the experiences of fictional characters modeled after real members of the Polish underground in World War II along with actual British and Polish historical characters and operatives in today's U.S. intelligence establishment. Polish heroes took incredible risks and made extraordinary sacrifices to assist the allies in countering the murderous V-2 assault on people they didn't even know more than half a continent away. This is their story, unfolding in the savagery of a seemingly endless war. The players are driven by desperate love and unbridled hate under the shadow of uncertain survival in a world gone mad. But it also tells an even more frightening tale. It is perfectly reasonable to assume that today's 21st century terrorists could duplicate the now 70 year old technology that terrorized England and Europe, and get it close enough to the shores of the United States to wreak havoc on a major city, and that's the other half of this story. The vengeance game never ends.show more
