Excerpt: ... beyond a passage to the pasture ground, by (the land of) Kondajf Bin Sidoji Patil Kamkhadare, has been taken by me for cultivation from Sadoba Deshpanday, inhabitant of Veer Walkay and I pay for the farm Rs. 11 to the Deshpanday. I myself have been cultivating the land for about 50 years and taking the produce. The Survey number in question belongs to the Deshpanday as Inam and is debited (in the Government books) to his name, and is managed by me up to this date, I managed it up to 26th June of this year. Though my occupation of the land dates from an old time, an attempt was made on the 27th June 1867 to oppose it. I was ploughing and sowing the land when an opposition was made by unyoking the drill-plough. The following are the witnesses residing at Dehoo in the Havelli Talooka and the particulars they know. I.MalhariBin Satwaji Maral can testify regarding possession and opposition. 1. Lakshuman Bin Umaji Kalukha can testify regarding possession. 1. Malhari Bin Umaji Kamkhe can testify to the same effect. The above named witnesses should be summoned-I will pay their travelling allowance. They will not attend at my request. This is my petition. An enquiry should therefore be made and the opposition removed.
