Under Sapphire Skies : Book 2 of the Cryptozoology Series
Addeline is horrified to hear her parents are going on a six week vacation to Peru without her. She and her two siblings will be left with an aunt and uncle they've never met in the wilds of Florida. She quickly realizes her aunt and uncle are just as crazy as her parents have always said - they think they live in a crypto-zoological vortex with sprites, a hornless unicorn, and goblins who are trying to get the gold under their house. She doesn't believe it until her younger brother, Ian, goes missing in the swamp, and she watches her sister, Fiona, get kidnapped and dragged underwater by a kelpie. Determined to reunite her family, but unsure of where to begin, she is approached by a talking Pixie Frog and Fairy Wren who offer their help. Before they can be of any use, the goblins attack, threatening to change all Addeline's freshly made plans. Can Addeline defeat the goblins and rescue her siblings or will she become the vortex's next victim?

About Heather Hamel
Heather Hamel is an author, horse trainer, and teacher. While working her way through college, she discovered a passion for storytelling, and became a ghost tour guide in the historic and haunted town of St. Augustine, Florida. Later, after teaching for a few years, she felt something was missing from her life. That something was horses. Growing up with horses made Heather feel confident around them, and she felt she was up for the challenge that a wild mustang named Kobi would bring. She learned quickly that when you own horses you become a part-time vet, part-time nutritionist, and full-time equestrian. Continuing to teach people and horses, Heather could not shake storytelling. Today, she herds words, horses, students, and still finds time to tutor students with dyslexia. She has written numerous on-line horse articles, and two middle grade novels. Murder of Crows focuses on her love of history, ghosts and storytelling, while Kobi: Memoirs of a Mustang is all about her beloved horse, and his trials with trying to understand humans. Heather is currently working on a four book crypto-zoological series for her middle grade readers.
