The "Unblemished" artfully interweaves the stories of a serial killer who believes he is the rightful son and heir to an ancient dynasty of flesh-eating monsters, and a mother determined to protect her only daughter from the stuff of nightmares. Review quote

"This is horror literature unabashed and entire, at full imaginative stretch, beautiful and blazing" -- Peter Straub "Williams is so good at what he does that he probably shouldn't be allowed to do it any more, for the sake of everyone's sanity." Publishers Weekly "Somewhere on the spectrum between Iain Sinclair and China Mieville, but moves off smartly at an oblique angle to both. Williams may be in the process of developing a new genre" -- M John Harrisonshow more
