In 1961, Joseph Heller completed his first novel, Catch-22. This book of chaotic originality, wicked humor, and sobering insights into WWII, became a classic, a masterpiece of fiction. Born in San Antonio, Texas and coming from a military family, Pat grew up in an international environment. She attended three universities, graduating from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Post graduate studies continued in Paris, France. She resided, studied, and exhibited sculptures and drawings in France, Spain, and Austria for 13 years as well as in Washington, D.C., Virginia, Oregon, and California in the US.
