Description

Shannon MacNamee had a boring but simple life. Like most children, she grew up loving and spending time with her parents. She thought she knew them better than anyone. When her mother passes she finds herself back at her childhood home going through their belongings. Reminiscing over two lives that consumed her for the last thirty years she finds herself in the basement staring at the trunk she was never allowed to open. Inside lies a world she could have never imagined. A world that leads to love affairs, loss, and even heroes. Valuable trinkets that tell of heartache, conquests, and great wealth. Disillusioned by her findings she now begins to wonder just who her parents really were. Just what does it mean to live life? To have lived, loved and lost? With each new trinket Shannon was about to find out. Through this series of short stories author Rod L. Griffin reminds us what it means to triumph over life. We all have trinkets that tell a story, most good, some bad, what do yours tell?show more

About Rod L Griffin

An author, actor, producer, screenwriter. He is one of the youngest authors in history to ever publish three books in one year within three separate genres. Rarely, in such a diverse spectrum has anyone created so much. This young man has been creating in life from an early age. At twelve years of age, he was writing country music lyrics. By fourteen, Rod had achieved his black belt in Kung-Fu, and within a year was teaching from his own martial arts school. Later, he went on to become a five-time Florida state sport karate champion. His pursuit of his dream, acting and his passion for the theater and the arts is what has led him to writing fiction. Having crisscrossed fields, he has become known in both the fiction and nonfiction categories. His writings in nonfiction include investing and self-defense, such as: "How to Buy and Flip Real Estate for a Profit," and "The Way of the Cosmic Fist - A Beginner's Guide into the Art of Tai-Ch'uan-Tao," as well as others. To date, Rod spends his time writing, acting and producing films.
