"Tribute to Jonathan Makeba" recounts the struggle of a political leader, in the heart of Black Africa, in search of African development, by changing the relationship model of multinational companies operating in Africa. Currently the world's great companies settle in Africa removes all the raw materials they need, play on a ship and will process it away, creating jobs in all parts of the world except Africa. It is against this exploitation model that arises Jonathan Makeba, meaning that companies setting up in Africa do the processing of the raw material on African soil and sell abroad the finished product, ready for consumption or use, generating income and jobs locally in any African country. Despite the benefits of this new relationship model could bring for the whole region, and especially for the African Sahel region, the difficulties and corruption in government machinery faced by Sir Makeba are the reason for this intriguing story.
