Review Text

The author's fizzy prose style is matched with an equally hectic plot involving a cello player, a wayward husband, a grieving sister and a would-be artist. No one in this world is ugly or poor, but heartache is heartache, even if the angst is experienced in a room with wonderful wallpaper. Trapido is skilled at skewering the pretensions of her milieu. Don't miss this. (Kirkus UK)show more
