But if Jack is innocent, then why has he confessed to the crime and why is he staunchly standing by his confession? Rochelle is about to find out that something or someone with sinister intentions is behind Jack's actions. As the trial draws closer, Rochelle searches for evidence that might free her brother. And watches as other friends are drawn into the underworld that seems determined to ruin his life and theirs.

About Ken Benn

Ken Benn is the youngest member of a colourful family. He spent large portions of his early childhood locked up in a hot car parked somewhere in Africa with an empty Coke bottle for company. The African tapestry unfolded around him during those incarcerations giving him a thirst for story and drama. He has continued to soak up stories from all corners of the planet. Ken travelled to every continent before coming to rest on the best piece of land the universe has to offer: Aotearoa. When not appearing as Leonardo da Vinci, Charles Darwin or Galileo in a musuem, Ken teaches physics at Palmerston North Boys' High. He is a Woolf Fisher Fellow and inaugural winner of the Jill Marshall-Michael King Centre children's fiction residency. Ken is happily married to Cheryl; proud sire of James and Ceridwen as well as being the owner of a nyctophobic cat, Connie. He has published three teen fiction novels with Penguin: Lethal Deliveries, Trapped Outside a Cage and Gutted.
