Excerpt from Transactions of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society for the Years 1843-4-5-6: To Which Is Added the Address Delivered Before the Society on 15th May, 1845, at the Dedication of Their Hall Section 2. Be it further enacted, That in case the said Corporation shall at any time contract debts beyond their means and ability to pay at the time of contracting the same, the Officers or other Agents of said Corporation so contracting such debts Shall be personally liable for the same. Section 3. Be it further enacted, That any Member of said Corporation may cease to be a Member thereof, by giving notice to that effect to the President, Treasurer, Secretary, or other Officers, and paying the amount due from him to the Society. Section 4. Be it further enacted, That the first meet ing of the Members of said Corporation may be called by any two or more Of the persons named in the first section, by giving one week's notice, or more, by advertisement in any newspaper printed in Boston. Section 5. Be it further enacted, That this Act may be altered or repealed at the discretion of the Legislature.
