Description

For centuries Maori were isolated from the rest of the Polynesian world and subsequently developed a remarkably rich and unique mythology. These stories are not just entertaining; they are a part of every New Zealander's cultural heritage. This book - the second volume of a series dedicated to Maori stories - deals with the wealth of legends related to the land, sea and sky, and the many creatures who call these places home.
