Our customer reviews

Andreas Merrick is a bad man. He has wealth and power, and everyone is afraid of him, except Phoebe Pace. Phoebe Pace wants to find her missing brother, even when that means associating with Andreas, the only man who can sure know where is him. I'm still not sure if I liked Phoebe. I have to say, she's brave and determinate. She didn't let Andreas ignore her, even if he threatens her. But she was practically a pest to him, and I think she only survived because Andreas liked her (not sure why). But Andreas was awesome. He has a very difficult past, and it made him the man he is now. Strong, sometimes cruel. But for some reason he can't seem to ignore Phoebe Pace and her lips. Their romance took a little bit of time to start and it was so twisted with Phoebe's family issues that I was constantly confused. Was Andreas bad or good? Did Phoebe know what Andreas did? I think maybe it would have been easier to me to understand it if I would have read the previous books of the series... But still, I liked the book because Andreas is one of my favorite male characters. Even when he realized he loved Phoebe, he kept being the dark Andreas. Overall, In Total Surrender was an enjoyable romance book. I wished it would have been easier to grasp the story, but Andreas is totally worth the reading.show more
