Many of our members are holders of taut 160 acres, yet we consider such members scattered over the country are our best patrolmen, as they are Interested and are on the watch constantly for fire, In order to protect their own personal property. We expect to carry on the work as cheaply as possible this season, but will spare no expense to extinguish fires. Our assessment Is but one-half cent per acre again this year. We have got the people In this district pretty well stirred up over this fire proposition, and we do not Intend to show any mercy to those who disregard our state fire laws. During last Fall and the past Winter a definite working plan for the prevention of fire on each forest was formulated and each plan was carefully gone over In this office.
