About Mark David Stevens

I was born in Melbourne in 1953, lived in Sydney until I was 34, then moved to New Zealand where I got married and fathered a beautiful daughter. I have been a musician for most of my life, playing covers, originals and jazz while holding down various day jobs and writing the occasional song along the way. In NZ I have eked out a living playing guitar and bass for many different bands as well as teaching music in schools and privately. At the age of 60 I started writing short stories and after a few months I began to write my first book, The Three Lives of Ronald. I had no intention of writing anything more than another short story but it took on a life of its own and ended up as a novel. The plot/plots were not pre planned, usually I didn't know what would happen next until it happened, it was a journey into the unknown which I thoroughly enjoyed. I have recently finished my fourth book in the "Life" series, and if another story wants to be written then I'll happily sit at the keyboard and allow it to come to more
