Our customer reviews

A number of disclosures and research findings, connected with Jesus and Christianity, raised burning issues and shook fundamentally our beliefs. Today, we have the courage to doubt not only the authenticity of the Holy Scriptures, but also the truthfulness and justice of their message. Why is there no one single Bible interpreted and followed in one and the same way by all Christians? Why after two thousand years of Christianity, there is no peace and understanding, first of all, between the religious denominations themselves and thence in the whole world? What kind of person is, in fact, Jesus? What is the real essence of his teachings? What has made the biblical image of God so repulsive for a large number of thinking people? Is it possible one uncommitted religiously reading of the New Testament to uncover surprising facts? And finally, are we ripe enough for a new hope and a new starting point for our beliefs? Basing myself mainly on the New Testament testimony ratified by the Church, I have made an honest attempt to impartially investigate these matters. In “The End of the Jesus Era”, I discuss neither the authenticity of the Scriptures nor the historicity of Jesus, but take them for granted. My book reveals that both the truth about God and the truth about Jesus do not correspond to our existing notions. In parallel with this, it initiates an exploration of the nature of the Creator in the light of the moral principles inherent in Life and the logical pattern of the Universe. This research, tested in the laboratory of life, includes my autobiography, stories from my life experience as a zealous Christian, and some observations on Christianity, gained over 70 years.show more
