Excerpt from The Cambridge University Calendar for the Year 1840
By the advice of several Members of the University, the Publishers of the Cambridge Calendar have altered its arrangement, and they trust that this alteration will tend to promote the utility of the work.
Among the additions made to the Calendar, will be found the Examination Papers for the Classical Tripos, for the use of which, the Publishers beg to thank the Examiners.
Through the kind assistance of the Registrary, the dates of the degrees of the several Members of the University, are given in the Alphabetical List.
The Publishers desire to return their thanks to the Moderators and Examiners, for the permission to insert their Problems, and to those gentlemen who have afforded them their assistance in the correction of the present Volume.
