The British and Foreign Medico-Chirurgical Review, or Quarterly Journal of Practical Medicine and Surgery, Vol. 30 : July-October, 1862 (Classic Reprint)
Excerpt from The British and Foreign Medico-Chirurgical Review, or Quarterly Journal of Practical Medicine and Surgery, Vol. 30: July-October, 1862 For a text, the three works at the top of this article have been selected. A few words regarding each. First on the list is the third edition of a work which, in our opinion, is the most complete physio logical text-book of the day. In its preface the author remarks, that the feature which chiefly distinguishes this from the preceding edition, is the great enlargement of the chapter on General Nerve Physiology. In his attempt to give a digest of the voluminous and scattered litera ture of this subject, we think the author has been highly successful, and in what follows, let it be understood that we have closely followed the order adopted by Funke.
