'One easy shop and a week of speedy suppers.' The Times

'The idea is simple: present a shopping list of goods and you then rustle up meals for the next seven days, saving time, food and money.' Balance Magazine

'Realistically achievable, not requiring unfeasible amounts of ingredients, skill or time,' Men's Health

Say goodbye to multiple trips to the supermarket and to wasted food at the end of the week. The 7-Day Basket is the cookbook you have always wanted. Each chapter starts with a shopping list for the week ahead, followed by seven varied dinners to see you through the week. No more wandering aimlessly round the supermarket wondering what to cook for dinner, this book plans your week ahead, and will have you doing your food shopping in no time. With 10 chapters in the book, Ian does the hard work for you, so all you need to do is shop, cook and enjoy.

The secret is all in the planning and Ian's concept means you end up with very little waste as many of the ingredients in the recipes overlap.

1 shopping basket + 1 week = 7 dinners.

Each recipe serves two people but simply halve the ingredients if you're eating on your own, or double them if you are a family of four. This will quickly become your go-to recipe book and with your weekly meal-planning sorted you'll no longer be faced with the dilemma of 'what shall we have for dinner tonight?'

Review quote

One easy shop and a week of speedy suppers. Haste has produced The 7-Day Basket, which tells readers how to get a week's worth of dinners out of a single supermarket haul. The recipes range widely, geographically and in terms of difficulty. * The Times * Ian Haste has moved on from many of the old tropes. The idea is simple: present a shopping list of goods and you then rustle up meals for the next seven days, saving time, food and money. * Balance Magazine * The idea of the weekly shop is to show us how to cook a variety of meals without anything ending up in the bin...having a meal-plan I stick to instead of chasing dinner dreams is undoubtedly where I save the most time. -- Sophie Morris * The i * Ian has done the hard work for you, with "The 7-Day Basket" designed to help the nation fall back in love with the weekly shop. -- Jenny Francis * The Sun * How to cook from meat-free Monday through to the Sunday roast with your weekly shop. * The Telegraph * Picked as one of the '10 Best student cookbooks for simple, cheap and delicious meals.' * Independent * The food Ian cooks is always so simple, healthy and tasty. I'll definitely be giving them a go. * Joe Wicks * Ian manages to simplify even the most challenging recipes to create delicious, healthy and speedy meals. * Miguel Barclay, One Pound Meals * Ian Haste doesn't shy away from the food we actually enjoy. * Men's Health * His recipes are realistically achievable, not requiring unfeasible amounts of ingredients, skill or time. * Men's Health *

About Ian Haste

Ian Haste is a husband and a father of two with a passion for delicious food. Ian has been cooking for nearly 30 years: from learning the basics at home with his mum as a young lad and heading up 150-cover-gastro-pub restaurants in the 90's, to having his own studio and teaching an online, global audience how to get more from their food. Eating healthily has never been so easy and Ian's ethos is all about staying fit and simplifying nutritious recipes, so we can all eat mouth-watering, healthy meals.

For the past four years Ian has hosted a YouTube channel alongside social media platforms under the name of Haste's Kitchen, where he creates and presents recipes. On his channel he's hosted guests including Joe Wicks of Lean in 15 fame, Miguel Barclay of the One Pound Meals phenomena and The Hairy Bikers who need no introduction. Ian has collaborated with some of the biggest brands in the UK, including Heinz, Aldi and Waitrose. From this, Ian has learned a lot, but his most important discovery has been that across the planet people want to know the answer to the same question: How do I eat healthy food that's varied and cost-friendly? And the truth is, when it comes to food, these factors can all go hand in hand - healthy doesn't have to be costly and complicated.
