Description

Best suited for undergraduate and graduate language arts methods courses that focus on writing, this text is designed for elementary, middle school and junior high level preservice teachers. All chapters in this comprehensive text are heavily supported by research from the earliest masters of the writing process to the most recent authorities in the field. That research is translated into practical workshop application. A strong reading-writing focus connects reading and literature with the unique components and competencies of learning how to write. Each chapter stands alone as a self-contained unit for study and discussion, allowing instructors to customize the text to best suit the needs of their courses.show more
