About Roger Green

Roger Lancelyn Green (1918-87) was interested in myths and legends from childhood and, greatly influenced by Andrew Lang, made a study of the compiler of myths and legends while at Oxford. He became hereditary lord of the manors Poulton-Lancelyn and Lower Bebington and produced biographies, children's fiction and fifteen volumes of his own retellings of traditional stories.
