Certainly, replied the king of Persia, heaven reserved her purely for me, as you were pleased to observe; and I love her with so tender and violent a passion, that it is plain which time, he omitted nothing that might shew his court in its greatest splendour and magnificence, and insensibly prevailed with them to stay there till the queen was brought to bed.
