Description

Providing an overview of a tumultuous decade, this volume contains a substantial collection of primary and secondary readings on political, social and cultural aspects of the 1960s. While individual documents highlight particular events and movements - civil rights, the counter-culture, black nationalism and the Vietnam War - the book's design and the editors' headnotes help the reader to appreciate the decade's coherence.show more
