Excerpt: ...committee of the estate of Oscar Strasburger with regard thereto; that since such committee went into possession, which was immediately upon his appointment, about the middle of September, he has continued to use the premises for the sale ofgoods of the lessee; the stock on hand was very large, and while the number of salesmen employed seems to have been reduced, the stock of goods on hand is yet large and the store is kept open and sales made daily; the committee has since his appointment occupied and used the premises continuously for the purposes of carrying on the business of the lessee; deponent was in the store on said premises to-day, and the condition of things was as he has above described it. City and County of New York, ss.: ALBERT STRASBURGER, being duly sworn, says: That heretofore such proceedings were had in this Court that on the 16th day of September, 1884, an order was entered herein adjudging Oscar Strasburger a lunatic, and appointing deponent committee of the property of said lunatic in the State of New York, upon the filing by said deponent of a bond in the sum of one hundred and five thousand dollars. That on the 25th day of September, 1884, deponent did file said bond, with the Clerk of the City and County of New York, and that thereupon there was issued out of this Court to him a commission appointing him said committee. That deponent found, on entering; upon the discharge of his duties as such committee, that the estate of the lunatic consisted of the assets of the business which had been carried on by said lunatic at Nos. 443_and 445 Broadway in the City of New York, under the more
