About Rudolph V Kolar

Rudolph V Kolar MBA, Yogi, Bohemian, and infinitely curious. My primary research has always been the study of consciousness. However in my travels from America to India to Okinawa and now in Kyoto, the stories of magic, fortune telling and spiritual healing caught my attention. The more arcane, mystical or esoteric a subject, the more interesting I find it. I firmly believe that the secret rituals of Shamans, Shinto Priests and Esoteric Monks both from Japan and Okinawa should not be lost to a generation lost in their cell phones. I joined the Rosicrucian Order at 11 years old. I collected every book on magic from old book stores and garage sales. Many books just magically turned up! I tried everything in the 1960's and took notes! Having been raised a Catholic it was logical to me to study Buddhism. In college I minored in Asian studies, practiced Aikido and learned to meditate. I traveled to India in the 1970's and met Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and became one of his Siddha students. I was blessed with the opportunity to meditate for very long periods of time and experienced many profound breakthroughs in understanding myself. Later I met Amma, the woman saint who gave me darshan. I was even more curious about the human condition after that experience. I am married to a professional classical Japanese dancer and Shamisen player. She is from a Geisha Family, studied Shinto, and has assisted me in researching and understanding the Japanese point of view. I am truly grateful for her presence in my life. Presently I am teaching English and Vedic Science in Japan.
