Review Text

Cosmetics titanette Ava Bardoff is a lady with a dream ("I will be the supreme ruler - God"), so, when world leaders visit her beauty-cure chateau near Cannes, she naturally implants their brains with beads that trigger remote-control cerebral hemorrhages or she uses their bodies for gross experiments and substitutes one of her "neut" look-alikes. Millionaire-vigilante Hugo Montclair suspects as much and recruits beach-bum Mike dePasse ("Bring him on water skis and use the underwater entrance"), and soon Mike - and Ava's god-daughter Sarah Dilworth - are up against Ava's henchman Moloch and his brigade of Adonis-thugs ("From now on. sweet, it's you and me"). Ava's not pleased ("I want their heads brought to me here") and calls Sarah "you little fool" a lot, while Hugo's private army invades the chateau through lakes and caves. Attention, Mel Brooks: Rhodes doesn't mean this to be funny, but you could do wonders. (Kirkus Reviews)show more
