About Catherine Bates
ABIGAIL MATTHEWMAN has a Master's in Philosophy from the University of Leeds where she provided study, writing and employability skills support to students in the Faculty of Arts. She also has experience teaching Philosophy and Medical Ethics and now manages the Centre for Humanities and Health at King's College London.
CATHERINE BATES has a PhD in English literature from the University of Leeds, UK, where she taught English literature and provided individual and group study skills support. She has published articles on Canadian literature, responsive reading, rubbish and archives. She is now a Teaching Fellow in English at Keele University.
