Another watcher is sent unconscious to the fourth floor, and Dr. Smith is furious! The girl made him late for his meeting with Anomaly Expert Dr. Bowen Browne, called in to consult on her abilities. Since Smith is late Bowen roams the halls of the Institute, and checks his stride when through a one-way window he sees a beautiful, naked woman on a TV monitor and is shocked by the instant desire racing through his long lean body. If she is the patient, how can he be impartial if just seeing her on a TV monitor sends his body searing with desire? What is her talent? And then, she turns angry, bright green eyes in his direction and a tingling runs over his head. Shocked by the strength of the scan, he immediately blocks her from his mind, and wonders 'can she see me through the TV Monitor?' His mesmerizing attraction is interrupted by Dr. Smith, who says "Ah Dr. Brown, so you have seen our 'enigma'. She is very dangerous, so don't let her 'see' you. Come to my office and perhaps you can advise me. My Council and I need to learn how to use her power." Bowen is immediately alarmed, that statement seethed of abuse, and the woman was angry! Smith continued, "Her DNA is very strange, you will see how much we need your input on this anomaly. Bowen's first instinct is to tell Smith off and walk out and then realizes the girl may need help. Is she being held against her will? Smith said 'we' who is he working with? Curiosity, his greatest fault, and deep desire, lead him to agree to work with Smith. And, not knowing Bowen's thoughts, Smith smiles, he is safe now from the girl, now, Bowen will face her retaliation. He turned to the young researcher, "Have a seat, Bowen. a brandy?" "Too early for me. Just tell me about the girl. I just returned from a dig on Portugal, and am jet lagged."
