Debra Wells' poetry takes her readers on a journey of her release as she shares many memories and experiences in her life. About Debra L Wells
Debra L. Wells currently resides in Waukegan, IL and is the mother of two adult children. She was born in New York, NY and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Graduated from Columbia College Chicago, where she majored in Public Relations, with coursework in PR writing and techniques of writing to hone her craft. Her educational background in PR has given her a broad base from which to approach many topics. As an aspiring writer, Debra has been writing for others for years. She has provided ghost writing services independently for various programs and speaking engagements. She was recognized as the editorial supervisor for the book entitled, "Homie, Lover, Friend" authored by Comedian Sonya 'D'. Debra writes in a variety of styles which illuminates the passion and love she has for the subject matter. In her poetry she writes about life, love and loss. She uses her poetry to encourage others. Her ability to match her talents with her passion to help others has allowed Debra to work with several organizations throughout the area to include College of Lake County Gospel Choir, College of Lake County comedy productions, and several other speaking engagements.
