Sixteen year old Gemma is kidnapped from Bangkok airport and taken to the Australian Outback. This wild and desolate landscape becomes almost a character in the book, so vividly is it described. Ty, her captor, is no stereotype. He is young, fit and completely gorgeous. This new life in the wilderness has been years in the planning. He loves only her, wants only her. Under the hot glare of the Australian sun, cut off from the world outside, can the force of his love make Gemma love him back? The story takes the form of a letter, written by Gemma to Ty, reflecting on those strange and disturbing months in the outback. Months when the lines between love and obsession, and love and dependency, blur until they don't exist \- almost.

I read this book in one night! I could not put it down and I found myself wanting to know everything about everything. I really connected with the characters and honestly felt how true Ty was and how his way of living was really best for Gemma and him. The ending for me was almost left on a slight edge and at first I was a bit angry about that but the more I've thought of the book (and I can't not its been on my mind since I read it!) I feel that the reader can come to their own conclusion as to how the story would carry on depending on the view on the characters. I would defiantly recommend it and i'm glad its on my more

I highly recommend this book for everyone! It took me 2 days to read this (mind you, I had school on both days and homework afterwards) but I still read it! I love the author's style of writing! It is full of figurative language! I'm in love with the characters and starting from 10 pages before the ending I cried the sobbing, gasping for air kind! I think I have Stockholm Syndrome from just reading about Ty! This is my favorite book!show more
