Steven Francis Shea (born December 5, 1942 in Worcester, Massachusetts) is an American former Major League Baseball player. A right-handed relief pitcher, Shea played in 40 MLB games for the Houston Astros (1968) and Montreal Expos (1969). He stood 6 feet 3 inches (1.91 m) tall, weighed 215 pounds (98 kg), and attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Shea was called up from the Triple-A Oklahoma City 89ers in July 1968 and got credit for the victory in his first Major League appearance, hurling a perfect 1 innings against the Cincinnati Reds in a 5-4 extra-innings Houston win.show more
