Also, if I be removed from my otfice, or shall of my own accord resign it, I will restore the goods of the College received by me, or remaining with c me, to the Vice-President and Bursars of the College; and in the absence of the Vice-President, to the Senior Fellow present in the University, and to the said Bursars, immediately, if I can with convenience; but if not, at all events within fifteen days then next following, without gainsaying, or defalcation, by inventory thereof between me and them, under the attestation and subscription of the same persons. In like manner, if through me, or by occasion of mine, any matter of dissension, anger, or discord shall be kindled in the College, (and far be that from me!) and a reasonable or peaceable end be not put to it within five days, by the agency of the Vice-President, Deans, or Bursars, and two others of the most Senior Fellows, then I will personally and effectually submit myself to the ordering, arbitration, decree, and authority of the Chancellor of the University of Oxford for the time being, and of the Warden of the New College of St. Mary the Blessed of Winchester, and of the President of St. Mary Magdalene College in the same University, if they shall be then present within the same; and if Mr. Chancellor, the Warden, or the President should be absent from the University, I will submit myself to those persons who are the Vice-gerents in the University of the absentee, or absentees, together with so many of the afore-mentioned persons as shall be present in the University; and what award soever two of them, who have been asked their opinion according to the form below limited, shall have made, appointed, ordained, or defined in that...show more
