Who would have guessed that four minutes could change everything? Imagine if she hadn't forgotten the book. Or if there hadn't been traffic on the expressway. Or if she hadn't fumbled the coins for the toll. What if she'd run just that little bit faster and caught the flight she was supposed to be on. Would it have been something else - the weather over the Atlantic or a fault with the plane? Hadley isn't sure if she believes in destiny or fate but, on what is potentially the worst day of each of their lives, it's the quirks of timing and chance events that mean Hadley meets Oliver...Set over a 24-hour-period, Hadley and Oliver's story will make you believe that true love finds you when you're least expecting it.

Our customer reviews

Everyone has at least once referred to it, that ominous feeling or concept known as love at first sight. Jennifer E. Smith attempted a funny and absolutely charming approach to that moment and did a quite fantastic job I must say. Jennifer E. Smith chose a plane and flight terminals as the main setting of her story around love at first sight. She doesn't need many words to build the story around Hadley and Oliver. It feels like they've known each other for several years, than hours. They only have a small time span to get to know each other and I definitely would have loved to witness a few more of their moments and conversations. This story is about coincidences and the chances life has to offer in these rare magic moments of fate. Hadley and Oliver make you constantly sight. So instant their immediate connection is, so absolutely sweet it is at the same time. I couldn't resist Oliver either. He's handsome, British, ironic and comical. What else do girls want ? I'm scared of flying, but with someone like Oliver, this fear would immediately be forgotten. THE STATISTICAL PROBABILITY OF LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT shows that love doesn't always need to have a concept. Hadley and Oliver's story is the perfect and surprisingly not so unrealistic example of a more magical, spontaneous and impulsive, intuitive way on which love can find you. The probability that every single reader will fall in love with this book is high, so don't hesitate and pick up THE STATISTICAL PROBABILITY OF LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT. THE VERDICT THE STATISTICAL PROBABILITY OF LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT makes you want to camp in a crowded airport terminal, soaking up the feeling of loneliness and hope, endings and new beginnings. Equipped with a copy of this wonderful book you would sit there waiting for a chance of your own proof of the statistical probability of love at first more

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight is, let's get it straight, pure awesomeness! The story of Hadley is such a beutiful story, but it's also very sad. Her parents divorced and she is going to London, becuase her father is getting re-married. You can imagine her broken heart. Mine would have been as well. She asks herself about her father's love. Does he care about her? Or now that he's getting re-married, he will build himself his own family in which she has no part in? "After all, it's one thing to run away when someone's chasing you. It's entirely another to be running all alone." But, she missed the flight. Haha great! Too bad, she still needs to go to London, even if she would be a little bit late for the wedding. Whatever. And then she meets him. He is like "Is it possible not to ever know your type-not to even know you have a type-until quite suddenly you do?" Yes, that's what he is! So it's kind of very difficult to say anything more, because that would be a spoiler. The story is very, very sweet and great! I've enjoy it so, so much! Another thing! When you'll pick it up, you won't be able to put it down! I finished it at 6 AM in the morning so.. it's an unputtable down book ;) "And O there are days in this life, worth life and worth death"show more
