About Simon C Lord

I was born in Bethnal Green on June 18th 1970-the first thing I did when I popped out into the world was wink at the nurse who delivered me, it was to be the first of many.I have three children. I currently reside in Hoxton/Shoreditch. Besides the noble art of writing, agonizing about writing, and writing about writing I am a keen photographer with a love for historic architecture. You can generally find me asleep every second weekend at The Vue cinema in Islington, just as soon as the auditorium lights begin to dim. My primary aim like most novelists I guess is to first and foremost entertain and provide "you" the reader with an enjoyable and engaging experience. I haven't exactly set myself an easy task, as by rights I should be illiterate or at the very least semi. I failed miserably at school to obtain any kind of education and spent most of my time bunking off or receiving detentions. English lessons I hated with a passion. So unruly was I, that feeling the sting of a cane across my buttocks or the ruler across the knuckles became a regular occurrence which naturally caused me to end up resenting authority on many levels. Had it not been for my passion for words and the almighty power they wield, it is unlikely I would have picked up the pen and chosen this profession. Both novels are presented in their current organic, non professionally edited or proofread form as I am far too impoverished to afford such professional services as it currently stands. This admission I feel is important so that you can make an informed decision whether or not my books are for you. Any errors I do come across or that are pointed out shall be swiftly rectified and updated. I have also written two full length feature films "Jigsaw of life" and "Dinner With Agnes Bereheart" that may never see the light of day due on my part to sheer unadulterated laziness and lust for life. I am currently in the process of writing a sequel to, A State of Flux and will keep anyone interested informed of its progress on my Facebook fan page "Speech Bubble."show more
