Our customer reviews

[received a copy from the authors through Netgalley] I got this book via netgalley.com, because the blurb spoke to me. It would have been a novel I could have written. I used to write, and I still write quite a bit of fanfiction and I used to write stuff like this. So I just had to read this one. This seems a bit of a story that we all wished would have happened to us in real life at some point. After reading the first 10 pages I really thought it was a fanfiction, because at first she didn't like Michael and after they announced to come to her town, she suddenly starts to like them again. It was not quite as realistic as I expected. Then again, how small are the chances your favorite bandmember falls in love with you? Actually there is not much I can say about this book. It really looked like a fan fiction to me, and while I really enjoy fan fiction, this one was one of those kinds you see everywhere. And then again, I really enjoyed reading it anyways. It was fun to read and I was looking forward to reading a easy to read book and a book that was somewhat happy. This was definitely one of those books. Of course, there were some tragic moments, all books have that. But it all ended happy and that was what I wanted. Kristen was kind of annoying though. She owns a blog, but it really unkind to the band she used to be a big fan of. She trashes them and her blog is really well known just for her trashing the band. Kristen trashes them just for the fans and the page views, which makes me kind of sad. It is evil, band members are just as normal people and that is what we learn from reading this book. The authors of the book, Isabel and Marilyn Thomas are two sisters who have written this book together. I really enjoyed that they have written this book together and I wished my sister and I managed to write a book together. We did try to write a fan fiction once, but never worked out. You should read this book if you're looking for a fun and easy contemporary book to read!show more
